Inspection and fixed price

A carpenter walks the deck, probes the joists and ledger, measures every run and hands you one written price covering boards, hardware, finish and disposal.

Restored in days, not weeks

Materials arrive with the crew. Boards, rails and steps are replaced in sequence, then stained and sealed when the wood is ready. Site swept every evening.

Most deck quotes skip the part that matters.

A deck fails from the frame down. Pricing the boards without probing the joists is how a two-day job becomes a three-week one.

Quoted from the driveway

A number scribbled after a glance from the yard, then a change order once the first board comes up and the joist underneath is soft.

Inspected first. Priced once. Finished by the same crew.

We probe the joists, ledger and posts before writing a number, so the fixed price covers the deck you have, not the deck we hoped you had.

Deck & Porch Restoration: Questions We Get Every Week

Straight answers. If yours isn’t here, call (757) 589-6859 — an installer picks up.

If the posts, beams, joists and ledger are sound, almost any deck can be restored with new boards, rails and finish for a fraction of a rebuild. We probe the frame at the measurement and tell you plainly which one you have.

Pressure-treated or cedar costs less up front and needs re-sealing every two to three years. Composite such as Trex costs more per board, never needs stain and shrugs off the DMV summer. Both are itemized in the same quote so you can compare.

Board replacement on a typical 300 sq ft deck is one to two days. Add a day for rails or stairs. Staining is scheduled after the wood dries, usually a separate short visit.

Replacing boards, rails and stair treads like for like usually does not. Changing the structure, height or footprint does. We tell you at the measurement and handle the paperwork when it applies.

Yes. Porch floors, tongue-and-groove decking, columns, skirting and screened porch framing are all quoted the same way.

Yes. The number you sign is the number you pay. If we find hidden rot behind a board we did not plan to remove, we show you before touching it and you decide.
